For me personally, it's almost impossible to avoid FOOD when I TRAVEL (or even when just kickin' around at home - lately, home is NYC in Manhattan).

And often, there are tasty and interesting (unique even?) foods and beverages to try. Curiosity (and hunger pangs!) get the best of me, and suddenly there I am happily 'inhaling' something, somewhere:

*a Chocolate Banana Crepe on Khao San Road in Bangkok Thailand, or

*filling my belly with some of the softest crust pizza in Gulu, Uganda.

*let's not forget the hole-in-the-wall Taco Al Pastor in Brooklyn, NYC.

*and the spam musubi and crispy fried chicken at Foodland Supermarket in La'ie, Hawaii.

*can't leave out the best crunchy fried falafel at the Khan el-Khalili Souq Bazaar in Cairo, Egypt.

*it's useless to fight off your urge to rush into a dessert cafe in historically beautiful Brugge, Belgium.

*and why have the same old potato cut french fries when you can get healtheir fresh taro strips with fish&chips in the Suva, Fiji marketplace instead?

*imagine washing that down with the creamiest lime milkshake in Uluun Bataar, Mongolia during Naadam Festival days.

*those unforgettable seafood pinxtos on crusty European baked bread in San Sebastien, Spain  - I still salivate at the very thought of them.

*home cooked family dishes? NO ONE beats my mom's crispy, buttery Samoan banana fritters. NO ONE! my aunty in Victorville, California also perfected the most awesome recipe for crab rangoons, while my other aunty living in Tafuna village, American Samoa can cook just about ANYTHING to perfection as she artfully stirs, mixes - even with our traditional island outdoor kitchens in the ground called, 'umu! ya oughtta visit my Lakota aunty on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for her dried corn washtunkala (she dries it herself!) she puts in her bpabpa soup - she almost always adds my fave ingredient: tinpsila (Lakota wild turnip).

*outside of a backyard or beach bbq, the entire nation of South Korea has won my heart for all things self-grill gourmet.

I would also like to know WHAT YOU ENJOY EATING and WHERE YOU ARE doing so! And then - when time permits - I'd like to feature foods and destinations you've experienced right here on our CHUBBY WUBBY  Food page!

I'm really open to all kinds of foods - TRANSLATION: I'm not a food snob stuck up on where/how/what to eat. If it's yummy, luxe or not, I'll eat it. And love it. DISCLAIMER: Since I'm a practicing Latter-day Saint, I religiously observe nonCoffee, nonAlcohol health codes, fyi.

We are especially interested in LECTIN FREE foods!

Looking forward to hearing from you - simply fill out the form below with the Food&Travel info, pay the fee, then we will reply to you via email, and then feature your submission here for an entire week.
