The LOVELY SOUL 'Valentine's Concert' was borne a concept to 'test' back in 2019. It is originally designed for open call, FAMILY FRIENDLY  performances in music, dance, poetry, theatrical of all kinds for all things, 'Valentine' in scope. 

I continue to keep the show 'stress free', 'easy going' and not 'audition strenuous' - I already long knew that Performing Artists from countless walks of life and at all skill levels just need a safe space for expression with relaxed show management to do what they do best and without the typical unnecessary, unkind 'overseer' supervision.

I also do not discriminate harshly at 'talent' level. For LOVELY SOUL, ALL levels of performance are warmly welcomed on our stage. All performing SOULS are LOVELY and are aptly LOVED SOULFULLY.

As a result - TWO Free annual events are hosted by LOVELY SOUL - a FEBRUARY Valentine's season concert; and a NOVEMBER 'Thankful' season concert reserved for relevant GRATITUDE themes held on the first Sunday evening of that month. The latter is in partnership with, 'COVENANT PATH: Thought, Arts, & Letters Series'. Performers for both of these are Volunteers.

TRADITIONS: And for every show, both in February and November, an audience interactive toast of cheers is made paired with a sing-a-long of the Latter-day Saint hymn, 'Love One Another'. Both performing and audience members will also be happy to know that a POTLUCK supper is part of our show (and served before the show begins!) #BecauseDinnerAndShowAmiRite?

COMING SOON: LOVELY SOUL will expand toward open call invitations to performers for paid gigs in/around the NYC area throughout the year. This part of the concept will include a 3rd form of Volunteerism with Christmas caroling at a local NYC Homeless Feed (locations TBD), while the rest of the performances we are invited to participate in are PAID GIGS (in addition to the requirement to Volunteer in the FEBRUARY + NOVEMBER shows). In this way, LOVELY SOUL helps to facilitate local NYC Performing Artists toward economic assistance and self sustainability.
