I want to give my younger self a big warm hug. And I'm happy the iconic Brooklyn Bridge took a selfie with me this day.

Native Pacific Island dancing is one of my deep-in-my-heart happy places.
And so is Hawaii - though we here in this little reel as fellow Polynesian Cultural Center dancer alumni are dancing a traditional aparima from Tahiti - written by Auny Regina Pasi, Music by Tia and Dallin Muti.
When we dance locally for each other in emotional support, it's an entirely different realm of expression and giving versus for show presentation (that we also love).

ITALY - VENICE - La Biennale
Italy.
For some reason, most times in the past when traveling to Europe, I always find myself in Italy.
One year I was chaperoning/teaching Tribal College literature students on an International Study Abroad trip
I organized. While they were in class at Oxford where I dropped them off & didn't need me around, l took nearly a week away to visit one of my younger sisters and her family living in Sicily at the time to roam all over Italy.
So of course we hit up Venice and the Biennale - I had been there several times prior.
And for the kazillion times I visited for Grad Studies in nearby Switzerland, this time was THE BEST.
Why ?
Because I spent my days at the Biennale with my nephew Jason. He was only 5 then.
And he LOVED it !
His wee curiosity got his cute little eyes popping open countless times in wonderment, amazement, discovery.
Even my art installation photos from that are more interesting and more endeared by me with an enthralled little Jason captured in them.

And with all that past and present experience under my belt, it's no surprise that I have opted to moonlight as a premier Travel Advisor recently in life.

1. The JOYS of TRAVEL;

I offer BOTH forms of info to help allay any troubling ambiguities in travel planning, and to offer FIRSTHAND and documented experiences that can hopefully dispel as many myths possible.
Surely, my FAM (or familiarization) TRIPS will feature here, but so will my own personal/professional and fun trips - every little bit of data/info helps a traveler!
Know that I plan on visiting many more countries, and even all of the same ones to locate spots and gain experiences that are new to me there. Hopefully, these of mine will be helpful to you.
Also feel warmly welcomed to travel for sheer rest toward Mental Health Wellness. In a past life of mine, I, too, worked the 9-to-5 grind and also enjoyed the luxury of world travel that came with. HOWEVER, even rest from that whole scene is essential - and I took it upon myself to truly REST, and travel differently - and even not far at all, more calmly, and with far more simplicity in mind.
Should you need some travel recommendations to, 'escape' from a chaotic life (paired with travel!), be confident that I know firsthand what that entails having once taken a lengthy break myself from all the typical career & travel perks 'noise' nausea burnout.
